How to Text to an Email Address

Most cell phones will allow you to send a text message to an E-mail address.

NEW CELL PHONES - most new cell phones allow you to send a text to an e-mail address as an option under "TO" - or the place where you enter a phone number. You should be able to locate this feature with minimal effort.

OLDER CELL PHONES - most older cell phones also allow you to send a text message to an e-mail address. All you have to do is (1) toggle the "entry mode" from "numbers" to "letters" - and then (2) enter an e-mail address instead of a phone number.

Although you've probably never sent a text to an e-mail address, you'll have to trust us, it works!

Toggling between "numbers" and "letters" can be a little tricky depending on your cell phone ... but it most likely uses the same method that you use to toggle between "numbers" and "letters" when you are typing out the body of a text message.

We will be posting a link to a video tutorial showing you how to send a text message via e-mail for most cell phone models in the near future.

Have you tried your phone's MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) feature?

In addition to regular SMS text messaging, your cell phone also has powerful MMS - or Multimedia Messaging Service - functionality built into it.

By default, most cell phones have the ability to send an MMS message directly to an e-mail address.

All you have to do is send a "blank" MMS message - no need to attach a picture, video, etc. - to GO@MobileOX.com ... and we'll take care of the rest.
